It’s funny, time just flies by. As I am sitting here in my room, my tv has a looping screensaver of pictures off of my computer. It has both AZ trips, some Parkcrest United, and Scotland. Which got me thinking, a year ago right now we were getting stuff together and planning to go to Scotland. We had no idea what was in store for us. As the pictures go around I feel emotion when I see the house or some place we went. For three months that was our home. I don’t know if this is kosher or not, but when I tell people about Scotland I open with “when I lived in Scotland.” I don’t know if three months is technically “Living in.” but it’s a long time.

One of the things that got me reminiscing a bit was this past Saturday. We had a funeral at church, and I was hired to run sound for it. To start the service they had a bagpiper playing outside, and then he played down the aisle of the church playing Amazing Grace. Kilt and all. If I had known, I might’ve worn mine. I like to have an excuse to wear it. The last time I had a reason to, I had no time to get dressed and I was missing my Kilt pin. I ended up wearing Suit trousers and my vest. When I left for Scotland last October, I thought there is no way I would ever wear a Kilt, now I look for reasons to wear it.

Someday I would like to go back to Scotland, for a visit or maybe on another short term trip. (like two weeks, not three months). Other than Southern California it is one of my favorite places in the world.
